Leon12 Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Good day to you all, excuse me if this threat was, i couldn't find it. I've been looking for blueprints of some parts for days now, I haven't find anything. I'm looking for any kind of blueprints with all dimensions defined. I'm desperate in finding this, because, I'm on vacation from school now, and I'm REALLY boring, but since I don't have 18 years, can't work anything . Thank you in Advance Quote
Tiger Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Well, the thing is, drawings is what (most of us) produce for a living and for clients, so most can't just hand out drawings like that. An handy excercise is to take something on your desk and produce a drawing or a set of drawings of said object. Quote
Leon12 Posted July 2, 2010 Author Posted July 2, 2010 Yes, I know what you mean, but actually I was searching for web site, blog, or something that I can find blueprints. Some of my friends told me there is, but, they don't know where to find it. And actually, I don't look for projects of buildings or so, I've been looking for drawing of shafts, bearings, machine elements to be precise. I'm not engineer to ask for stuff like your drawings or so, I just ask for simple stuff for exercise, you know like the one you get at High school Quote
fuccaro Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Do you try to remodel machine parts starting from dimensioned 2D drawings? If so, simple PDF file could be used as "blue print". I started my career at the drawing board, I copied myself my drawings and created blueprints. But I didn't see one from years. As Tiger suggested: take an object and make the 3D model. Once I asked a teacher to bring me from the school a plastic model of a human heart to practice the 3D modeling. Quote

Not sure about any machine or mech tech suppliers though. Google up a mess of mfg sites and see what's there. I know for architectural hardware and appliances, you can find the downloads under links from their home pages for "The Professional" or "Architects & Designers", like that. Some charge, some don't. Some require a registration, some don't. Quote

JD Mather Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 .. I'm REALLY boring.... Most towns have a building called "The Library". This building is not generally known by today's internet junkie 18 year old, but in this very special building you will find many many books on drafting and design. Spend some time in The Library and you will be..........., well you will still be boring, but smarter. As a student I recommend you sign up at http://www.autodesk.com/edcommunity and learn one of the next-generation CAD programs rather than spend time on AutoCAD. Quote

ReMark Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 What field are you interested in? Architectural, mechanical, structural, civil, etc.? Even a library in Srajevo should have a "technical" section where books dealing with these types of subjects can be found. You might also try book stores and university libraries. Quote
