sgrant Posted July 5, 2010 Author Posted July 5, 2010 text and dimensions that i can put in my dim and text styles. So if i put a text in the text style as 1.50 it will print at saled 1:50 in my viewport. Do i make sense? Quote
Cad64 Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Are you asking about annotative dimensions and text? I don't think those were available in Autocad 2007. Quote
sgrant Posted July 5, 2010 Author Posted July 5, 2010 If you go to Format text style or dimension style, and go to style name you have a standard text/ dimension. I want preset dim and text styles you can use for text/ dimension at various scales as shown above. e.g if you set it to 1:50 and then insert text it should be at the correct height so the drawing can be printed with correct height. Cad64 Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 So are you asking how to create Text styles and Dimension styles? Or are you looking for some automatic way to change text height according to viewport scale? I still don't understand what you're asking for? Quote
sgrant Posted July 5, 2010 Author Posted July 5, 2010 Is there a automatic way to change text height according to viewport scale? Quote
Cad64 Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Not in 2007. I believe annotation scaling first became available in 2008. Quote
JD Mather Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Text height should be set a zero. Then dimscale will control your text height (the reciprical of your viewport scale). You need to set each of your desired dimscale standards dimstyles in your template - then select dimstyle as appropriate. This works as far back as I can remember and doesn't require use of later annotative dimensions as mentioned in this thread. Post what you have so far with your *.dwt file if you can't figure it out.
