joewaianae Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Is there a way to take a scaned dwg and make it a translusent overlay. I have this scan and i want to put it ontop of my existing dwg, I know I can trace it and put it in as an xref. I just thought if someone knew how to do it like google earth does it when you put an overlay in there, you just make it as translusent as you need it to be and you can see right through it. JUST WONDERING??????? Quote
lpseifert Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 If your image is bitonal you're supposed to be able to, but I've never had any luck trying. Modify > Object > Image > Transparency Look in Help under Transparency. Quote
joewaianae Posted September 4, 2008 Author Posted September 4, 2008 YUP, But I want to lighten it, so that it can't be seen that clearly. Thanks Though Quote
eldon Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Is there a way to take a scaned dwg and make it a translusent overlay. It all depends on which format the scan is saved in. A JPG file does NOT support transparency Have a play around with TIFF or PNG format, and when you get an answer, please post your method Quote
Tiger Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 you can use Send it to Back to have it behind your exisiting drawing. Mark it, rightclick on the frame and select Send it to Back. Quote

Had no luck with the image itself, just to sketchy, line weight was all messed up and everything, just didn't work the way I had wished. Thanks All Quote
