bjenk8100 Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Hello, I have a few questions that I have been thinking about and trying to work out with no luck. 1. When I copy/paste and/or move a set of objects (non polyline or non block structures) it will often take a few moments for the object to recreate all the highlighted objects. For instance, say I make a box with four individual lines and then highlight it, right click, select base point and then try to move the object kinda dissappears and then begins to reappear after a few seconds. However, there have been instances where I let it fully recreate and then remove it with the same procedure and the object just moves around without dissappearing adn recreating. Is tehre a way to get it so you can move it around like that without making an object or block? 2. I am trying to bind keyboard shortcuts. I went into manage > keyboard shortcuts > hit the plus sign and it says add customization file. I dont understand how to write a file so that it will allow me to make my own shortcuts. Basically, I am trying to make ctrl r = rotate, ctrl m = move and ctrl e = mirror. 3. Finally, I am trying to print an entire roof plan of a project that is very very large (58,000 pavers). I want to print the whole thing so we can look at it on a wall. I have it in acad10 and put it in a regular template. I want to set my layout to be longer than any of the preset page dimensions (ex. say 100" X 36"). We have a plotter that can continously roll out paper as long as we want I just dont know how to make the layout longer. Any help on these matters would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brian Quote
JoeC Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Regarding point #3 above... I usually select the title border, and increase the "scale X" value to make the border longer in the properties box. This is a fairly quick way without creating a new border. It does, however, distort the reference letters/numbers (if they exist in the border). Hopefully, this will accomplish what you want. Quote
Dana W Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 #1, sounds like you have a tiny video card and/or memory in your computer. #2 - I am just as fast with the toolbars, so someone else might help you here. #3 - Right click Layout tab > Page Setup > Modify > Printer/Plotter > Properties > custom paper sizes. This should let you lengthen your paper as much as you want. I can't see how to on my computer since I am not connected to a plotter. Quote
