Hi there!

Just a quick question about obliqued text. I have a piece of text, that is obliqued, looks like it's bolded. In previous versions of the drawing, this obliqued text looks like "regular" text but in this version of the drawing, it appears darker. I've racked my brains as to why that is, but haven't come up with anything.

Any ideas?

Thanks so much,

Gail

Does it print okay? And does it look almost fuzzy? I don't use oblique text but I sometimes have this happen when text is rotated or if there is any other object in the drawing on a different z than the rest. Sometimes the flatten commend fixes it but most of the time, I end up re-doing the text.

I'd be very interested to see if there is a solution.

No, it prints as if it's bold. Other than that, it prints fine (no fuzziness). Very frustrating as I am the one who has to fix it :)

Is the text set to a TrueType Font (TTF)? If so it could be set to an elevation other than zero. Select the offending text and in properties go to the Z coordinate, type 0 in there even if it seems to show 0. Regen, hopefully that is the answer.

None of those suggestions worked :( I've had the .ctb file changed as well and it still doesn't work. Gah!

Thanks for your suggestions. If you think of anything else let me know. :)

Post a sample of the text here, that is the easiest way to diagnose.
