antowi Posted August 6, 2010 Share Posted August 6, 2010 Hello guys I have data point in Ms.Excel like this STA1025L-1 | 476468.104 | 9872275.629 | 28.079 | EXISTINGGRD and then I've convert to .txt to import point. But in LD I get warning like this "no point were transferred from source" I've try to use space delimeted and coma delimeted but I still get warning.. please help me Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

LDD2004 needs a reconizable format like P,N,E,Z,D for a comma delimited Point number, Northing, Easting, Elevation, Description coordinate file. The first entry of "STA1025L-1"will not be accepted as a Point Number. Edit that first line to reflect point number (1,2,3....etc), export that as a .csv file, rename the csv file to a ".txt" file and the points should come in. On future jobs, see if they can send you a coordinate txt file ratyher than an Excel file. That will save you a lot of time and frustration.
