nothing happens when I type in HIDE.

And I didn't think it would be this hard to hide the Tessellation lines. I've only been using ACAD for just about a month and I am having to learn 3D modeling on my own. My only other experience with parametric modeling was with Cadmax, SolidWorks and SolidEdge.

It's not my fault I am using old software. It's what I have to work with and I am doing the best I can!

Momma mia!

OK then. We have one other avenue to go down. Do a test print and for the Shaded Viewport option select Hidden or 3D Hidden if available. How does it plot?

Back to your previous post re: HIDE.

Are you sure you had the correct viewport active?

Did you try finding the HIDE command in the Help file?

The only thing I can think of is that my version of AutoCAD must be corrupt. I have been told that the previous user had issues(which I don't know) also and has re-installed Autocad a few times. But I know he has made views without the tessellation lines. It's just frustrating me that this simple thing has to be an issue. I've been told by a few people that we are looking at getting SolidWorks. Now if it's true, I don't know for sure.

I haven't had time to really look at this example, but there is something fishy going on. I don't think it is because of older version. I am sceptical that it is a corrupt install, but not sure. There is some behavior here that I can't explain and have never seen before. Hopefully someone with the time can nail down the exact problem/solution.

I know if I were trying to find the solution the first thing I would suggest is setting this on aside and see if behavior could be reproduced from scratch in the most simple geometry that is representative of your part.

Hmmm, I get different results with shademode than I get with -shademode.

Notice that this Knowledgbase item is incorrect - set dispsilh = 0 to turn off tesselation lines.

Also, I opened your file again and facetres was .5 set to max value 10

and viewres was 100 I use 2000

Try the differences between shademode and -shademode hidden regen
