ksperopoulos
We deal with a lot of huge drawing files and while working on them, we need to freeze, thaw, lock, unlock, etc. the layers that are within the drawing. Since AutoCad 2009 came out we have been utilizing the layer drop-down ribbon control bar to quickly modify the layers. In AutoCad 2011, Autodesk introduced this same control bar but added the feature of instant changes, or "real time", changes with this tool. This is slowing down our production when we have to wait sometimes 10-15 seconds to allow a layer to be frozen, thawed, etc. I know the layer property manager can go back to the classic mode through LAYERDLGMODE variable, but is there anything that will allow the layer drop-down control bar to wait until all your changes are made before applying them to the drawing?
