DNK Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 In my industry we use AutoCAD to create line drawings of electronic devices. We use polylines to connect device to device, and when that flow path goes from drawing to drawing, we use blocks called feathers to represent the equipment on the other drawing. The feather consists of 5 separate attributes and the value (and character length) of these attributes depend upon the devices they represent. Sometimes (more often that I like), the length of the attributes end up stepping on each other and I have to manually redefine the blocks (per drawing) in order to cleanly read each one. The question I have now, is how can I efficiently adjust attribute location in the feathers, in a drawing by drawing basis, that will space the attributes based upon the highest character count for that individual drawing? I'm also open to ideas if you have a better one. Quote
