Fatal Error!

I am using Autocad 07 and have been getting a lot of fatal error messages and my computer crashes. I seem to be the only one having such a large amout of these. Autocad suggested upgrade packages which haven't worked. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can look for that might cause this to keep happening?

Thanks

Ive had this problem alot before, mostly on large drawings or files i get from vendors. Audit and purge will take care of alot of these problems. Changing some system settings i.e. hardware acceleration, useless programs running in the background, etc. can help as well as changing some cad visual settings. Also, does the drawings have alot of xrefs in it? You might wanna go into each and run audit and purge. Type overkill in the commandline but dont do this if the dwg. has any intelligence ouside of simple solids. If all else fails a reinstallation of cad or type fix me at the command line. But beware fixme will reset alot of your custom settings and toolbars so save them somewhere. Hope one of these works!

Mostly error of autocad call "fatal error".I met with this last 6 year with autocad 2000 to 2006 and i lost some of my works. It bite me down on floor.

But i found sometimes. When they produced autocad 2007 to 2009,i hear many times.I always use "audit" many times like a "save" when i am working with autocad. Then i will face "fatal error",i will open new file and copy & paste all data from error file. This would be many help but not 100% cover.

The crazy part is that I can open a drawing that has next to nothing in it and this happens. I have tried the pruge and audit and they don't work. Sometimes I will be cuting and pasting using the clipboard and moving between drawings when this happens. Some days are better than others. I have come to the conclusion that my computer hates me and it has a death wish. :x
