drafting_man Posted September 9, 2010 Author Posted September 9, 2010 I did not get what you mean . Could you please explain it in words. Tharwat what i mean i have 4 lines the distance between thees lines 25 i want when run lisp select the 4 lines and hit enter then the lisp make dimension between the firest line and the second line with 25 then make dimension between the secend line and the thired with 50 the make dimension between the thired and the forth with 75 so on i wish u understand me and i'm sorry for wasting your time Quote
Tharwat Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 I don't know what to say. Your idea is completely wrong, Autolisp is not made for these kinds of simple three steps to do. If you do them with the command "dimcontinue" that would be much better than you think with Lisp. If you don't know how to make them manually , just ask and I would tell you how. Advise: You'd better use Autocad commands first , and when things being hard to deal with then you could ask for Lisp to do the hard tasks. Hope you understand me well. Good Luck Tharwat Quote
ReMark Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 It sounds like most people here agree you're following some bad drafting standards. Quote

ReMark Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 It is not a matter of wasting our time. It's more a matter of following good drafting standards whether it is on the board doing manual drafting or on a CAD system. Just because it might look pretty doesn't mean its right. And one of the cardinal rules is not to be exploding things like text or dimensions unless there is an overwhelming reason to do so. It should always be the exception and not the rule. Quote
