andrewchanter Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Can anybody help me? I am new to 2007, when I try to drag and drop cad files from my old cad library they come in to the drawing at odd scales typically 25.4000? In options "Insertion Scale" I have checked that the units are set to millimetres in both the source file and the file that I am working in, but still I get this problem. What do I have to do to over come this. Quote
dbroada Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 AutoCAD knows best. I hate this new "feature". You also need to check a few variables around the INS* area - I think INSUNITS is the main culprit. Do a search on block scaling and you will see how often this comes up. Quote
Dipali Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 yes, dave is right. we ha dsomeone with the same problem few days back & finally insunits was the problem. some times the blocks are created with 'no unit' option. in that case you have to recreat the block. here is the similar thread http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26853 Quote
CAD-LOVER0208 Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 yeah that was helpful Dipali, and all. I had same problem before and i found out because i was using old library stuff for my 2006 one. Well, i guess this is nothing, wait till to the near future, CAD is changing every year and we have to put up with that and keep learn about it. Quote
