yasatsuna Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 I've made a floor plan and I did the walls first and my next step is putting doors are there any commands that I can use to put doors instantly aside from copy pasting manually made walls? because if i copy paste its placement is not accurate and if i do it manually it takes alot of time using line and tr :/ additional:: what is the best shader for walls?? thanks Quote
ReMark Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Are you looking for a lisp routine that would insert the door into your wall breaking the the existing lines to facilitate the insertion? Quote
bbankston Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 yasatsuna, I'd use a solid fill hatch for your walls. That's how I've seen them done. But, I could be wrong. Make a single door a block and then flip it for the copy and just adjust your gaps if you have any. I work on drawings for glass storefronts all the time. Quote
JPlanera Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Off topic..... bbankston, that is a creepy avatar... just sayin Quote

BIGAL Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 back to the topic Like Remark are you looking for something that will put doors & windows in automaticly ? If so the answer is yes it exists it cuts the walls etc as a lisp program. If your real serious then you would look at Autocad Architecture which has these features built in plus heaps more. If your a student etc then trim insert a block and change its x y scales to suit your walls. Regrading accuracy it should be accurate if you draft it correct. Also are you working in 2D or 3D ? Or plan and elevations (=2D) Quote
