ReMark Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 It's amazing what a good night's sleep and 10 cups of coffee will do for one's thought process. I solved the puzzle. I can get it to dimension correctly although making picks on a 3D object, even when displayed as a 2D wireframe, can be frustrating. And using the Distance command will still return the correct dimension. First though, I did change two minor things. On the Primary Units tab I changed the Unit Format to Architectural and where it says Suffix I got rid of the inches symbol as it was redundant in this case. Now the thing you've been waiting to hear about... the dimensioning problem and how to solve it. Remain on the Primary Units tab. See where it says Measurement Scale? Change the Scale Factor to 24 and check off the box where it says Apply to layout dimensions only. Click the OK button and then Close the Dimension Style dialog box and start dimensioning. I'd also suggest changing to a 2D wireframe view. "Shades of Gray" visual style may look nice but it does nothing for making accurate picks. That's it. I'll tally up the charges and send you a bill later today. Cash or certified bank check or a case of beer are the only acceptable means of payment. Just kidding. Quote
Dan911 Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Wow, once I changed the scale factor to 24 and checked "Apply to layout dimensions only" came back to paper space and the 2 1/2" was 51". A bill would be certainly justifiable considering the amount of time I have messing with this with no successes. Can't thank you enough for helping me this time, and many others by reading your responses to other post. Sorry about the delayed reply and thanks again, Dan Quote
ReMark Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Actually I think I just got lucky on this one. You're entirely welcomed Dan. Quote
