jhedrobass Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 We use AutoCAD 2008 and I need to know how to plot 35 different .dwgs that do not have plot layouts set yet. I've tried using publish, but I don't know how to apply one layout to all of the files without opening every one and setting them up. Thank you very much in advance! Quote
rkent Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Use the Publish command either through the command line or using the option in the Sheet Set Manager. Quote
jhedrobass Posted September 18, 2008 Author Posted September 18, 2008 Thank you for the reply, but I know how to get to the Publish command and how to use it when the drawings all have the plot layout properties set. My problem is none of the layout properties are set. I know that there is a way to apply one plot layout to all of the drawings through Publish, but I don't know how. Thanks again. Quote

If one of the drawings in the selection of drawings to be plotted has the correct pagesetup then you highlight the other files in Publish and pick the drop down button and select the pagesetup you want to use. If the pagesetup you want isn't there in the list, the last choice is to import a pagesetup from a template or other dwg file. If you need to plot the same drawings to two different pagesetups, you can highlight all of them, right click to copy, then use the pull down to set a different pagesetup for the copies. Quote
