text problem

the text from a file opened in a diferent computer is disconfigured, even when the standard text specs are the same on all computers,

i have "standard" text configured in a file on one computer, when i try to open the same file on another computer the text comes out diferent

May be one of computer changed standard text style!But you can change your text style from format menu....

I would think that you have STYLE|STANDARD pointing at different font files. It could also be that the font file on one computer is different to the (same name) font file on the other.

 

I think you need to post screen shots if you want detailed help.

that´s the problem, the fonts are the same on both computers and all other configurations....

What is the style name?

 

What is the font name?

 

Is "Use Big Font" enabled or disabled.

 

What exactly is the difference between the way the font displays on both computers? Is the text expanded, squeezed, taller, shorter, spaced differently, etc? A little more detail would be appreciated.

I would say that Arial Narrow isn't installed correctly in the 2nd computer. There isn't a TT symbol next to the font name.

One's a true type font and the other one isn't. You are NOT using the same font on two different computers.

the settings are the same on both comps, the font style menu on the 2nd computer doesn´t show anything..

the fact that there isn't a TT symbol shows that you are not picking up a true type font.

Copy the font you want to see from one computer to the other and that should solve the problem. You'll have to temporarily close AutoCAD on the second computer, overwrite the font file, then open AutoCAD back up.

The preview window in pic #2 shows a different font than that shown in pic #1 and the Font Name box doesn't show the True Type font icon. Are you sure both computers have the TT Arial Narrow font installed?
