michaeloureiro Posted September 19, 2008 Author Posted September 19, 2008 i have "standard" text configured in a file on one computer, when i try to open the same file on another computer the text comes out diferent Quote
papagyi Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 May be one of computer changed standard text style! But you can change your text style from format menu.... Quote
dbroada Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 I would think that you have STYLE|STANDARD pointing at different font files. It could also be that the font file on one computer is different to the (same name) font file on the other. I think you need to post screen shots if you want detailed help. Quote
michaeloureiro Posted September 19, 2008 Author Posted September 19, 2008 that´s the problem, the fonts are the same on both computers and all other configurations.... Quote
michaeloureiro Posted September 19, 2008 Author Posted September 19, 2008 is there a way to configure or save standard text style settings? Quote
michaeloureiro Posted September 19, 2008 Author Posted September 19, 2008 doesn´t look like this one is going to be easy to solve... Quote
michaeloureiro Posted September 19, 2008 Author Posted September 19, 2008 1st computer: 2nd computer Quote
ReMark Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 In the Text Style dialog box: What is the style name? What is the font name? Is "Use Big Font" enabled or disabled. What exactly is the difference between the way the font displays on both computers? Is the text expanded, squeezed, taller, shorter, spaced differently, etc? A little more detail would be appreciated. Quote
dbroada Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 I would say that Arial Narrow isn't installed correctly in the 2nd computer. There isn't a TT symbol next to the font name. Quote
ReMark Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 One's a true type font and the other one isn't. You are NOT using the same font on two different computers. Quote
ReMark Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Jeez, Dave I almost beat you. You're too quick this morning. Quote
dbroada Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 that's 'cause I'm in holiday mode - 3,5 working days left!!!! Quote
michaeloureiro Posted September 19, 2008 Author Posted September 19, 2008 remark, the settings are the same on both comps, the font style menu on the 2nd computer doesn´t show anything.. Quote
dbroada Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 the fact that there isn't a TT symbol shows that you are not picking up a true type font. Quote
ReMark Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Copy the font you want to see from one computer to the other and that should solve the problem. You'll have to temporarily close AutoCAD on the second computer, overwrite the font file, then open AutoCAD back up. Quote
flem snopes Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 The preview window in pic #2 shows a different font than that shown in pic #1 and the Font Name box doesn't show the True Type font icon. Are you sure both computers have the TT Arial Narrow font installed? Quote
