I use a typical two button mouse with a wheel. I used to be able to zoom in and out by rotating the wheel forward or backward. That functionality no longer works. I am able to pan by depressing the wheel and moving the mouse. Is there some sitting that I accidentally hit that caused me to lose the ZOOM functionality using my mouse?

Try visiting the (windows) Settings > Control Panel > Mouse Buttons assignment. Check if you can make Program-Specific Settings for individual programs. If so set the wheel to Zoom for AutoCAD and similar.

Check the variable

MBUTTONPAN

Its value should be 1 in order to attain what you want.

Hi,

I did as you suggested, but, unfortunately, I did not find any settings that would address my dilemma.

Does it work in other applications? browsers, word, excel, etc?

I do notice that I can get the mosue to pan up and down through workd documents, but I don't have any better luck with the mouse wheel rotating to zoom a page.

Then it must be a Windows problem, or your mouse might be broken. Have you tried with other mouse?
