CAD Library Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 how will I explode a block that can not be exploded? it is a block that I downloaded from the internet. Thanks! Quote
Cad64 Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Use the BEDIT command to open the block in the block editor. Once you're in the block editor, right click and choose Properties. In the Properties palette, set "Allow Exploding" to Yes. Save and Close out of the block editor. Now the block will be explodable. Quote
CAD Library Posted December 1, 2010 Author Posted December 1, 2010 I can not find the "Allow Exploding" in the properties palette ... I am using Autocad 2010... Quote
ReMark Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 When you inserted the block into your drawing you did so via the Insert dialog box right? In the lower left hand corner of this box is an option to Explode the block upon insertion. Is this option grayed out (unavailable)? Quote

rkent Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 You can also use the Block command for this. Start BLOCK command, select the block name, check the "allow exploding", pick ok, pick yes to redefine. You can now explode the block. Quote
CAD Library Posted December 2, 2010 Author Posted December 2, 2010 I clicked yes.. but still , the object did not explode... hmmm.. Quote
