Civil3D 2010 and AutoCAD LT 2011 not playing nice

Our office is currently running something like 6 seats of Civil3D 2010 over the network. In order to free up the Civil3D seats for the designers that actually need the functionality we are looking into buying a couple seats of AutoCAD LT 2011 for the people that do more of the lightweight drafting. I started using a 30-day trial version of LT 2011 this morning to see what it could do. Everything was going along smoothly. I was editing drawings and making some simple changes to a set of plans, then I went back in to Civil3D this afternoon to publish the set using the sheet set manager and the whole thing went to hell in a hand basket. Everything I opened with LT in the morning became un-openable in Civil3D. I tried opening with the sheet set manager and is crashed, I tried opening it up straight with Civil3D sans the manager and it still crashed, I tried recovering one of the drawings and then opening it and, you guessed it, it crashed. I can still open it with LT 2011and plot it, so not all is lost, but it would be nice if I could work between the two without trashing the drawings. We have a seat of AutoCAD LT 2010 that has been in use for several months now and none of these issues have ever come up.

Does anyone know if this some sort of known compatibility issue with LT 2011 or what happened? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

Civil3D 2010 and LT 2010 play well together but Civil3D 2010 and LT 2011 don't. Seems odd.

Just curious. If you did a "save as" in LT 2010 to 2007 format will Civil3D 2010 open the drawing file?

Please tell me you have tried installing the civil 3d enablers from autodesk for autcoad LT 2011

Yes, the OE is installed and seems to be working fine. I can see the Civil3D objects in a different drawing I opened; however, there are no C3D objects in the drawings in question.I did go back and re-open the drawing with C3D objects and it opened fine - makes me think the fact that the corrupted files were part of a sheet set might be the issue here.
