how can i Rotated view ports

i saw one of the isometric dwg in model space and then i switched in paper space. i saw first one view port shows top view and second one view port shows side view and third one view port shows front view so how can i make rotated view ports of one dwg. i hope you understand what i am trying to say......... thanks advance

I know that in 2008 you have to use MVSETUP to rotate a view in a viewport, but I also know that they've added the option of rotating a viewport just like any other object but I'm not sure if that was in 2010 or 2011.

Just double click inside the viewport and set the view you want, front, top, side, perspective, whatever. Double click outside the viewport to return to normal mode.

You might be thinking of VPROTATEASSOC.

 

From the AutoCAD Help file:

 

"When VPROTATEASSOC is set to 1, the view within a viewport is rotated with the viewport. When VPROTATEASSOC is set to 0, the view remains when the viewport is rotated. You can also rotate an entire view within a layout viewport by changing the UCS and using the PLAN command.

With the UCS command, you can rotate the XY plane at any angle around the Z axis. When you enter the PLAN command, the view rotates to match the orientation of the XY plane."

While in a layout, make a viewport current, VIEW, pick a preset view like SW, Top, etc., make it current, continue from there. You can use 3dforbit, or orbit also, among other commands.

You might be thinking of VPROTATEASSOC.

 

That command doesn't work in 2008. MVSETUP is what I need to use:

 

To rotate a layout view using MVSETUP

 

1. On a layout, enter mvsetup at the Command prompt.
   
2. Enter a (Align).
   
3. Enter r (Rotate) to rotate the view to a specified angle or with two points.
   
4. If multiple viewports are available on the layout, click the viewport with the view that you want to rotate.
   
5. Specify a base point for the rotation.
   
6. Specify the rotation angle or specify a second point to determine the angle of rotation. The entire view rotates within the viewport.
   
7. To restore the previous UCS, enter ucs and then p (Previous).

Let's see, the OP has 2011 and access to the new system variable VPROTATEASSOC. You're suggesting he forego using it and use MVSETUP instead?

No, I'm saying "I" still use it out of habit. There are many ways to do a task in AutoCAD and if it gets the result done, all good.
