Hi,

When inserting a .tif image file in a dwg file I have seen that the drawing units automatically change to 'unitless'. Can someone tell me whats the reason for this. Thanks in advance.

Could it be because the image file is not considered to be a block?

Does the Tif have some GIS data embedded? Coordinates and such? I can't imagine why this should happen otherwise, unless it's a bug. On second thought, even if it is a GIS-based image, there should be no reason why the current DWG's units need to change when inserting the image - rather the image should be scaled to match the current DWG's units. But' I've not seen this happen in any of my current ACads (Vanilla 2008, Vanilla 2011, ACA 2011) ... any further info on your 2009? Maybe it's some addon or part of a vertical which sets this for some reason?
