CADTutor
If two lines are drawn one on top of the other, AutoCAD will select the older of the two lines if selected with a pickbox. But say you want to select the newer one first. In older versions of AutoCAD, there was an option known as Object Sort Method that allowed this reversal of selection from older to newer. But it no longer exists. What is the modern way to do this?
Strix
if you select one, what does your right click or properties give you?

CADTutor
Would DRAWORDERCTL be of any use? That controls the view of objects but not the order of selection If im not mistaking I think if you hold CTRL while selecting it cycles through the entities No, but it got me on the right track. The answer is Shift+Spacebar cycles through overlapping objects when making selections. Thank goodness - I can sleep tonight.
lpseifert
If you'd rather use Ctrl for cycling, set Legacyctrlpick=
