ReMark Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 When you tried to insert the dimensions in the new drawing were you putting them in the layout or in model space? Quote
nestly Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 You can not copy both modelspace and paperspace objects at the same time. They can be copied separately and then use Express Tool ALIGNSPACE to realign them, or change all the objects to modelspace, using CHSPACE (Change Space) from the Modify menu. After they're copied, CHSPACE can be used again to put them back into their previous state. Quote
ReMark Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Very good explanation nestly. A tip of the hat to you. Quote

Command entry: exportlayout This might help you as well if available in 2010. Quote
saravana Posted January 15, 2011 Author Posted January 15, 2011 Hi i could copy both dime & part drws to model space one by one.but i could not able to align the dim with drwg since the dim scale too small after copied to model space.do i need to move the dim one by one to match with obj?.pls advise. nestly Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 (edited) In order for the scales to be correct, copy the modelspace objects in the existing drawing into modelspace in the new drawing, and copy the paperspace objects in the existing drawing into paperspace in the new drawing. If however, you want everything to be in modelspace, then use CHSPACE to move the dimensions into modelspace BEFORE you copy them into the new drawing. Edited January 15, 2011 by nestly Quote
