Timothyl Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 (edited) Greetings, I'm having an issue on my full scale detail sections for a set of entry doors. I used layoutwizard to create my layout and I'm adding text (dtext) and leaders and it all looks good on my screen. When I print it out the text is rotated 90 degrees. I imagine it's any easy fix but I sure can't find it. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks, Tim I thought I should add- when I look at 'print preview' the text is rotated. When I go back to the layout the text looks correct. I tried unchecking the "match text orientation to layout" and checking it again and it didn't help. Seems like this might be a glitch of some sort? update: If the text is in model space it prints properly. Only the text in paper space shows up rotated. Edited February 1, 2011 by Timothyl Quote
SLW210 Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 A screenshot or portion of the drawing might help and a screenshot of your plot settings, also. Quote

Sittingbull Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Could you also make some shots of your dimensions settings? I suggest u use Alt+PrintScreen  Quote
Timothyl Posted February 2, 2011 Author Posted February 2, 2011 I tried toggling "annotative" off and back on but it made no difference. Quote

Timothyl Posted February 2, 2011 Author Posted February 2, 2011 My workaround for now is putting the text in model space. I saw another thread where someone mentioned that it could be a problem with the printer driver. I did just install a new printer recently though the problem didn't show up immediately. Quote
fahim108 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 In the Text Style window, make sure the "Match text orientation to layout" option is unchecked for all the listed text styles. Quote
Timothyl Posted February 2, 2011 Author Posted February 2, 2011 I did that and it made no difference. Quote
SLW210 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 If you could post the file, or enough to troubleshoot the print. Is it just this drawing? Quote
Sittingbull Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Thanks for the printscreen tip sitting bull You're welcome. Quote
Timothyl Posted February 4, 2011 Author Posted February 4, 2011 Thanks for the input. I tried printing to PDF and printing to another printer and the issue persists. I tried to find another file that had the issue and I haven't found one. I'll create a new drawing with similiar layouts and see what happens. I was going to post the file but the file size was too big (384K). Quote

Timothyl Posted February 4, 2011 Author Posted February 4, 2011 (edited) I got the file size down and it's attached. The layout "Full scale glass system" is the one that prints with the text rotated 90 degrees. Thanks for persisting with me on this! Murph_map Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 Use Qselect and select all text (pspace) then change the text orientation in the property palette. Worked for me. Quote
Murph_map Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 Thanks Murph, that works! Tim No problem. Glad to help. Quote
