samifox Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Hi We are using Autocad LT 2007. every drawing we plot is incorrect. if we view this plt, we see weird lines, perhaps some partial information from the drawing. Things we tried with no help: uninstall and reinstall autocad download and install all patches using different drivers replacing the plotter file we are using Win XP any idea? Thanks Shay Quote
rkent Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Are you using xrefs in the file that does this or does this happen in any drawing, with or without xrefs? If xrefs, open each of those files and run audit, maybe purge while you are there. Then run audit and purge in the parent file. Quote
Cadax Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Check to make sure the missing information is not on 'DEFPOINTS' or another 'no plot' layer. Quote
samifox Posted February 28, 2011 Author Posted February 28, 2011 hay...its really freaking me out no defpoint layers, no xref. Objects , its not going to this direction at all. im trying it on another pc, and its the same. the plt viewr shows a complete mess of vectors. its seems like autocad is drunk im plotting using : DesignJet 750C C3196A well. i have some errors: File: S:\S1857\cons\dwg\1857-2-003.dwg Category name: Page setup: Device name: DesignJet 750C C3196A.pc3 - plotted to file Plot file path: C:\Documents and Settings\Sima.ASAFENG\שולחן העבודה\1857-2-003-Layout1.plt Paper size: ANSI E (34.00 x 44.00 Inches) MESSAGE: Error : There was an error opening the file C:\Documents and Settings\refael.ASAFENG\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD LT 2006\R11\enu\plotters\PMP Files\DesignJet 750C C3196A.pmp. The PMP file has been set to None. Thanks Shay Quote
ReMark Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Corrupted drawing file? Are you plotting over a network? Post one of the drawings (may have to zip it first) and let someone here have a crack at it. Normally one would never have to uninstall/reinstall AutoCAD to solve a plotting problem. That's like changing all four tires on your car because it won't start. Quote
rkent Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Delete that .pc3 file and remake, make sure to go through the calibration portion so it creates the .pmp file. Quote
samifox Posted March 2, 2011 Author Posted March 2, 2011 i solve the problem by downloading a new HP driver for the plotter, but another problem pops out. i cant define a costum paper size. does anyone know a driver that does? hp designjet 750c Thanks Shay Quote
ReMark Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 You don't need another driver to define a custom paper size. Select your plotter then click on the Properties button to the right. Then click on the Custom Properties at the next screen. Quote
