cduke5 Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 I have the toolbars set up to my liking on my home computer but my work computer looks different. The toolbars are in different orders and at different locations on the screen. I am familiar with "customizing" the toolbars and commands one at a time but is there an easy way I can have the toolbars on both computers be identical? Quote
nestly Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 Copy the main .cuix file from your home computer onto your work computer.... or if it's only the toolbar configuration, take a screenshot of your workspace and email it to yourself at work so you have a visual reference to arrange them manually. cduke5 Posted February 7, 2011 Author Posted February 7, 2011 1. Where would I find the main.cuix file? 2. How do I take a screenshot? Quote
nestly Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 I think I mis-spoke. In 2006, I believe it's a .cui (not cuix) I'm actually not familiar with 2006, but I think you can find the folder your CUI is stored in by looking in Tools > Options > Files > Customization Files. It should be something like C:\Documents and Settings\cduke5\application data\autodesk\autocad2006\rxx.x\enu\support One word of caution, do not overwrite the acad.cui file on your work computer, Either back up your work computer's acad.cui first, or rename the copy from your home computer to something like cduke5.cui before you copy it onto your work computer. To make a screenshot of your AutoCAD workspace; Maximize the AutoCAD window Press the key Open Microsoft Paint Select "Paste" or press Save the file Quote
