ThrashMetal Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Hey all, i'm actually stuck in a dilemma involving the creation of a series in a text, i'll just start of with a simple example, for a subdivision containing, say, 1000 lots, and all lots has to be numbered individually, normally one would create a text, copy that to all the lots, and edit it one by one according to the proper numbering, or use attributes but the process would be the same. Is it possible to create a text, copy that to all lots, then once you change the origin, all will follow the series of numbering? Change one 1 and automatically the next lot would be 2..3..4..5..and so on.. Really need help.. Thanks in advance.. Quote
tzframpton Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Here's one written by CAB. I use it on a daily basis. I don't know if it's exactly what you're looking for though... this is just an incremental copy text program. You might be looking for something a bit different. TxtInc v3.0.lsp Quote

BIGAL Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Just a suggetsion If you can regiment yourself you could automate it for text or blocks that it numbers them in the order in which they were drawn could be a block or text on a certain layer. then just copy copy etc After closing and reopening you could search for last number so as to continue on or change number.
