GAAMS
Does anyone know if AutoCAD 08 has the ability to create wireframe arrows without building them from scratch? I'm trying to show circulation patterns on a landscape plan. I'd like to be able to click and drag like a polyline etc. Thanks!
ReMark
What about using a Dynamic Block?
CyberAngel
You can't use leaders?
tzframpton
Or you can use the MEASURE or DIVIDE command to distribute blocks along a polyline.
GAAMS
Leaders don't give the free form graphics I'm looking for. I'd like to be able to curve them like a spline. Am I missing something on their capabilities?
GAAMS
Give me a minute to check that out. Not too familiar with the dynamic block.
tzframpton
Okay here's the next question, are you wanting arrows to be evenly distributed along a path? Or are you wanting a Leader with a single arrow head that has an arced tail? There's two different options and can be accomplished easily. GAAMS
Leader with a single arrowhead.
tzframpton
That's what I was thinking. Check out this LISP routine. The scale is based on the DIMSCALE variable. Set that and you're all good. arc_dim.lsp
GAAMS
Okay. Thanks everyone. I've got enough to explore and work with the options. gtg. Project due at 5:00!
RobDraw
There are options within the leader command to get what you describe. After starting the leader command, type "S" for settings. You can use the spline option and increase the maximum number of segments or check the box for no limit.
GAAMS
Ok. I'll try that option. Thanks.
SLW210
Try a custom linetype.
