Keyboard short cuts missing

Recommended Posts

:? Hi I am having a problem with my keyboard commands. All of a sudden they are missing and when I type in alias editor all of my command short cuts are missing- is there any way to reset the typical commands? For example if I want to move I type 'm' nothing happens but I can still move when I click on the icon.

Please help. Thanks

It sounds like some changes to your support file search paths have been made, and now AutoCAD cannot find your customized ACAD.pgp file... i.e., (findfile "acad.pgp")

Be sure that any paths that contain ACAD.lsp, ACADDOC.lsp, ACAD.lin, ACAD.pat, and ACAD.pgp are at the top of your search paths list (use the OPTIONS command, Files tab).

Hope this helps!

Hi I think I know what I did...I was training and showing how to add in custom hatch patterns and must have accidentially overwritten that portion of my support files path...ahhh. I don't know how to add it back in there or where to find it?

If you're working from a standard profile, simply reload said profile (OPTIONS command, Profiles tab, select the correct profile and set current).

If that does not resolve the issue, then you need to identify the location using (findfile "acad.pgp") at the command line, perhaps even from another application (i.e., AutoCAD, Land Desktop, Map, etc.).

If that still doesn't solve your issue, perhaps a coworker can identify the path (assuming you all use the same paths)...?

Good luck!

To find the path to your acad.pgp file type the following at the command line then press Enter:

(findfile"acad.pgp")

AutoCAD will return the path.

The same holds true for acad.pat too.

No worries, bud... I'm just ribbing you.

Someone with your track record for excellence makes few mistakes, I simply meant to mark this (rare) occasion with some humor. :D

Cheers!
