Adem
Why is there not a Direct3D option in AutoCAD 2011? Regards Adem
SLW210
Did you read the info.......? 32. What is the difference between the Direct3D, and the Autodesk driver? The Autodesk driver is faster in modern graphics cards, but the old Direct3D driver may perform better if you have an older graphics card. Also, the Autodesk driver will not be available in really old cards, while the Direct3D one may be. Please check the Graphics Hardware List for the result for your video card. The Direct3D driver uses older technology (Fixed Function pipeline), and the Autodesk driver uses newer shader-based technology). Newer graphics cards are optimized for a shader-based workflow, so the Autodesk driver should give you better performance in modern graphics cards. Why upgrade to AutoCAD 2011 and not upgrade your equipment to use the improvements? If you want to use older equipment, then stay with the older software.
