burnsiecanuck Posted March 23, 2011 Author Posted March 23, 2011 Okay it definately has something to do with the UCS as I did mirror this elevation from the opposite elevation. Quote
burnsiecanuck Posted March 24, 2011 Author Posted March 24, 2011 Okay this hatching thing has something to do with how I draw. I produce a plan in model space, I then draw the elevations around the plan (NSEW) and change the UCS to edit each elevation. This problem arose when upgrading to 2011. Quote
burnsiecanuck Posted March 24, 2011 Author Posted March 24, 2011 Okay I have narrowed it down to the UCS. If you rotate to any view other than the wcs then the hatching won't work. anyone know which setting I need to adjust? Quote
SLW210 Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 I didn't do anything but Hatch the drawing just as you posted it. Weird, but that's AutoCAD. I will run through my settings to see if I have something set up, when I get a couple minutes. Quote
Glen1980 Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Weird, but that's AutoCAD. Hatching doesn't seem to be AutoCADs strong point sometimes. I do produce my ele's the same way as the OP but once they are done I line them up to reduce the number of viewports on the paper space (plus some of my colleagues whine about using UCS's.) I must say I'm very impressed with Nestly's screen cast demo, I'll have to have a play with that one Quote

AutoCAD really does not like objects (especially Hatches) to be very far from insertion point. As stated earlier I used the center of the circle for insertion point. Unfortunately, I cannot view Nestly's screencast from work. Quote
burnsiecanuck Posted March 24, 2011 Author Posted March 24, 2011 Here is my long video showing my problem http://screencast.com/t/x6KEjl8HXW Quote
burnsiecanuck Posted March 24, 2011 Author Posted March 24, 2011 UCSVP set to 0 seems to fix this problem other than the preview of the hatch Quote
