langum25 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Hi guys, First of probably many posts. Got a slight problem, i have to draw a lamppost for a job in work. The pole the comes from the ground and then has a bend of 200mm radius at 20degs up to where the light is. When i get to the bend i use the fillet command to give the radius 200mm and i have already angled the light and the pole coming from it at 20 degs. From the outside edge of the pole to the outside edge of the light is to be 500mm. Now when I do this, all the dimensions become obscure and have decimal points. I would rather these be rounded to the nearest whole number. Does anyone know if this is possible and if theres a better way of drawing it. I can attach a wee drawing if its easier. Thanks guys Quote
nestly Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Welcome to Cadtutor You have several options, including altering the physical dimension of the lamp post, changing the dimension location, changing the precision of the dimensions, and over-riding the dimension text. Posting the drawing will give us a better idea of exactly what's going on so we can offer the best solution(s) Quote
Ollie8974 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Use the arc command instead of the fillet command, for a dimension that large. Quote
CyberAngel Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Another option is to draw the dimensions only after drawing the linework. Quote
