annien24 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 I am totally new to inventor but need to learn it fast! I am a technology teacher who has been assigned a class to teach Inventor to and I havent a clue, I have inventor professional 2012 loaded at home but the school computers have inventor professional 2009 installed. I am looking for some tutorials which go through the making of simple products such as a pen or a pencil sharpener for example to more complex models. i have searched online but with no luck does anyone have any links? thanks in advance Annien24 Quote
JD Mather Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Read this http://home.pct.edu/~jmather/AU2006/MA13-3%20Mather.pdf (this for 2010 and later http://home.pct.edu/~jmather/skillsusa%20university.pdf ) These tutorials are intended to be for advanced users - but they are step-by-step, so they might be usable by beginners (since I supply the sketches). http://home.pct.edu/~jmather/content/DSG322/inventor_surface_tutorials.htm Keep in mind that Inventor files are not backward compatible - anything you do in 2012 you will not be able to open in 2009 (unless you File>Save As>Save Copy as type STEP (*.stp). Jack_O'neill Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 This link has a whole list of various tutorials for Inventor 2009. They are down near the bottom of the page. http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=12942332 Quote
JD Mather Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Just watch out for the Routed Systems and Simulation tutorials, you won't be ready for those for a couple of years. Advanced stuff. Quote
jdits7 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Here is a post from a blog called From the Trenches that has alot of good practice drawings for Inventor. Give it a look. http://inventortrenches.blogspot.com/2011/03/modeling-practice-drawings-for-inventor.html Quote
