I am truly sorry if the question has been answered, but i've been searching and googeling for almoist an hour now and still can't find annything on the subject.

Here's my problem:

We, the company, have been wording with AutoCad for ages now. All in the trusted Windows version. But the Mac is rising!

And a couple of our partimers have bought Mac systems.

All good and well when they still use the Windows version of AutoCad, but when AutoDesk released the Mac version, they dove on it like lions on a slow moving prey.

Still that´s ok. But we work with a Windows based template. Complete with all the layers and pre/set blocks and with pre set pages.

We have all the pages from A0 down to A4 format lined up in one paperspacetab.

(We use single viewports to fill the pages)

This works awsomely fast and easy, when you disable the 'display prinable area' function.

Now the mac-users also want to remove the printable area, so I take a look and: WFT happend to AutoCad?!?, why do they have a Coca-Cola-Zero version of the AutoCad (=Less options than the light version).

Can someone help me and my colleges to find a way to remove the prinable area? Is it posible, or do we have to work around it?

Tanks in advance for all the help.

Can I ask why you need to disable Display Printable Area? Its it just a speed issue while flipping through layouts?

Yes you may :D.

We have pre-made papaers in all the diferent papaersizes next to eachother. So the drafter can pick the right papersize and set up his viewports within this paper.

Than the other papersizes get deleted. As this immage will clarify:

Ahaa, I get it. And it makes sense that you need to not Display printable area. I don't use the Mac version so i have no answer for you unfortunatly.

I thought that you had several Layouts (i.e. paperspace tabs) ready made, one A1, one A2, one A3 and so one. And then you pick the one that you need this time and delete all other tabs. That's how I would do it if I didn't only deal in A1s.

Nah...I work with ...well...ACAD-retards, so it has to be as simple as posible... :D Thanks for wanting to help.

Now for someone who has the solution!
