dfrle Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Hi, I have 2 different pc's running different versions of CAD. one of them runs 2006 the other runs R14. If I create a new drawing in 2006, it opens up with the direction control as I want it. If I open up certain other drawings, these settings are sometimes different. I think that when another user creates a CAD drawing on their computer with direction control settings different to my own, the R14 version on my other pc, ignores their settings when you open it on my pc, and superceeds them with my own settings. But I dont think 2006 does. Does this make sense. I dont seem to be having alot of joy with this problem. My settings are set in my template in both CAD prog versions but seem to migrate properly only in R14.... Any thoughts? Quote
Grant Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 I'm not a hundred % sure what you mean but if you create a drawing mostly the settings for that drawing go with the drawing. If you want the drawing to have a certain unit maybe put it into an ACAD.LSP file to always make the units what you want when the drawing is opened. Quote
