Diast Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Under the Annotate Tab / add labels / line & curves / add line & curve labels a window normally pops up asking for info. One of my techs has lost this on her computer and we can't figure out what happened. Checked the options and hers is the same as mine. Not sure what she did. Any suggestions ? Thanks, Quote
SLW210 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Is this AutoCAD or some verticle or third party add-on is this some form of customization? Can you show the dialog box that is missing? I have no Annotate Tab / add labels / line & curves / on AutoCAD 2011. Quote
BlackBox Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Not sure what version the OP is using, but Civil 3D 2011 has it (_AeccAddFeatureLineLabels command). Perhaps the OP can also tell us what happens (at the command line) when the command is invoked... Perhaps the dialog has been 'pinned' off-screen somehow (can you even do that?)? Quote

I was pretty sure we weren't talking AutoCAD. If so a restart should fix that. Let's wait for the OP to respond with more info before guessing ourselves to death. Quote
Diast Posted May 3, 2011 Author Posted May 3, 2011 Sorry I didn't add pertinent info. Windows xp AutoCad 2010 c3d. Tried the add feature command with no luck. Overnight rest and restart; no help. Don't know how to add screen shot to this forum. Quote
Diast Posted May 3, 2011 Author Posted May 3, 2011 Don't know if this worked or not. Tried to Attach image. Quote
BlackBox Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Sorry I didn't add pertinent info. Windows xp AutoCad 2010 c3d. No worries. Tried the add feature command with no luck. Overnight rest and restart; no help. Manually issuing the command does the same thing as hitting the ribbon panel button. Don't know how to add screen shot to this forum. Use 'Manage Attachments' button when making a post... you may need to first hit the 'Go Advanced' button. Quote
JD Mather Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I don't know anything about c3d, but what is your cmddia set to? Quote
BlackBox Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Yes, that is an image of the resultant (missing) dialog. Quote
BlackBox Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I don't know anything about c3d, but what is your cmddia set to? I've tested that also (using Civil 3D 2011), and CMDDIA = 0 / 1 the dialog is still displayed for me. Quote
SLW210 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 If it were me, I would go back to a restore point or run a repair on the installation. Just a WAG here, has anyone ran a registry cleaner on that computer recently? Quote

See if that works. Quote

Diast Posted May 3, 2011 Author Posted May 3, 2011 She has not done any backup profiles. If I delete the c3d Imperial what would I replace it with ? Quote
BlackBox Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I thought you had suggested that previously. Apparently that was another thread. Me too... I had to skim this thread to make sure for myself. LoL She has not done any backup profiles. If I delete the c3d Imperial what would I replace it with ? If you're using the OOTB profile instead of a company (customized) standard profile, then hit the Reset button, on the Profiles tab of the Options dialog. :: Warning :: This will cause all changes that have been made to be lost. BlackBox Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Wouldn't that be the desired effect? One would think so... But who knows what customization(s) they've added to the Default OOTB Profile. LoL Edit - BTW, looks like I was right afterall. Quote

Did this fix the problem? Quote
