jmurman Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 When upgrading from 2004 to 2009, there must be something I don't understand about the layer manager. In 2004, there were no problems, and 2009 has been very frustrating. Frequently, when opening drawings the layouts are not right, and will not restore. There has to be something different in the applications. Can anyone help? Quote
SLW210 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I fail too see the connection with Layer Manager and "when opening drawings the layouts are not right, and will not restore". I picture is worth a thousand words (not sure what a .dwg is worth.) Quote
Lee Roy Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 What layout? The Layout tab, how your lines appear in the Model tab or your ACAD screen/toolbar layout? Either way, how would Layer Manager have any effect? Quote
BlackBox Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I'm in agreement with the other posts; we need more information to better help you. I used Land Desktop 2009 for almost two years (prior to our transition to Civil 3D 2011), and have not experienced this issue to date. Make sure you've had all software updates and HotFixes (i.e., Raster Design 'Solid Fill', etc.) installed. Quote
Organic Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Are you turning layers off instead of viewport freezing them to not display layers in viewports? Turning layers on/off and using layer isolate can cause problems. Quote
