pefi Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 I got 2011 version about 20 minutes ago - any tips for a hard core 2005 version user? Other that I have to install VBA as it's no longer part of tha package. Settings probably migrated OK. Quote
JD Mather Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Have you installed yet? I don't hear you complaining about the Ribbon interface. Quote
tzframpton Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Express Tools isn't defaulted to be installed so make sure you check the box to install it during the installation process. That would be my only tip. Get ready for a whole new world in some areas. Quote
pefi Posted May 5, 2011 Author Posted May 5, 2011 Thanks lads! I have express installed (IT crowd is quite good here), vba added and no, I won' complain about the ribbon. Switched to autocad classic, removed most of toolbars and saved as "My". The command line is the king! The only thing that is quite annoying is that Pentium 4 (duo?) 3 Ghz with 2.5 GB seems too slow. I have to try to tweak graphic card settings... Quote
tzframpton Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Yeah, might want to consider an upgrade if budget allows. Quote
