Operation Order messed up

I most have accidentally pressed a key that messed my settings (default). before I was able to select a line or point and then type in the command, now I have to type in the command and then select the line or point (the other way around does not work). Hope that explains it in some way.

You may have a lisp or vba program that resets that variable. If it happens again, scroll back through your history and see what tripped it. Maybe you could add a line to the program to reset it for you when it finishes.
