Don't know of a standard command like this. The closest I can think of is to use Properties Palette to modify multiple attributes at once (either select multiple blocks, or hold down Ctrl to select multiple individual attributes).

FIELD maybe, but I think that's been explored unsuccessfully before.

Yep, that's another way to get one attribute's value into another - and have it update constantly. Though you need to only edit the source attribute, if you later edit the destination attrib: that link is then broken.

To the OP: What reason do you have not to use Lisp? If it's because you're on LT there are some addons which allow Lisp inside LT. E.g. http://www.cad.com.au/drcauto/lt-toolkit/lt-toolkit.htm

And IMHO if you're using LT, you could have gone for something like BricsCAD instead at about the same price and gotten a near full ACad clone. It's a bit of a toss-up, BC has only just started implementing fields (incompletely as yet) and still doesn't have true DBs, but other than that it seems to be comparable to ACad Vanilla 2008 - though it works with AC2010 files directly. So if you have to use fields & DBs then LT is probably your cheapest option, if you need Lisp as well then the addon. If you don't mind fields & DBs, but require Lisp - then BC is the way to go.

Nope, they're not supported by ADesk. They're a 3rd party ARX file.
