ReMark
Sounds like a glitch within the command alias file (acad.pgp). I have 2004 running and when I type "T" then hit ENTER I am presented with the MText command. When I type "M" then hit ENTER I am presented with the Move command. Did you edit the acad.pgp file at some point in time?
ReMark
Try this test. Preceed the "T" and the "M" with an underscore first like this: _T or _M. What happens when you do?
pradeeptalreja
thnx but i have never edited anything in the system or software..... Sounds like a glitch within the command alias file (acad.pgp). I have 2004 running and when I type "T" then hit ENTER I am presented with the MText command. When I type "M" then hit ENTER I am presented with the Move command. Did you edit the acad.pgp file at some point in time?
Tiger
Someone in the office playing a prank on you? Try the underscore that ReMark suggested, that should override any alterations.
ReMark
There should be two copies of the file on your computer. They can be found in: C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2004\UserDataCache\Support and... C:\Documents and Settings\your_computers_name_here\Application Data\AutoDesk\AutoCAD 2004\R16.0\enu\Support The files should be dated 11/27/2002. If the one in the second location mentioned has a different date then it has most likely been modified. To test whether or not that is the case, close AutoCAD, and using Explorer go to the second location mentioned above and rename the file acad.pgp to acad.pg~ then copy the file shown in the first location to the second location. Restart AutoCAD. Try out the command aliases that were causing you problems. Do they work correctly?
