aSmOjUiCe Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 is there a way to change units, lets say i am making a wall with a unit of meters and suddenly i want to make a sofa with a unit of inches or a bed with a unit of feet.. is there a way to do this? even if i change the units of the FORMAT tab, it stays the same... ReMark Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 I would recommend against changing back and forth between metric and imperial units in a drawing. Personally I think it is a recipe for a disaster. Quote

Set the INSUNITS in your wall drawing for your metric unit, use the UNITS command and look at the middle of the dialog for Insertion Scale. Now open another drawing for making blocks for your furniture done in feet and inches, set the units for architectural, in the top pull down for Length. Create a block of your sofa, now go back to your wall drawing, using design center, use the open drawing tab, insert the sofa into the wall drawing. It will be scaled accordingly for you. Quote
