I am using Autocad 2010.

I accidently shut off the quick properties window. Now when I click on a line or object the quick properties window does not appear.

HOW DO I GET IT BACK?

You can toggle the feature on/off with the Quick Properties button at the bottom (left hand side) of your screen. I think it is the second one in from the right.

ReMark,

I have another one for you.

When I click on the "Measure" button and then pick two points, the display window with the "distance" etc. is so faint that can hardly see it - it's sort of transparant. How do I fix that??

Are you using the MEASURE command to get a distance between two points or are you using it to insert blocks or objects at measured intervals?

Right-click the title bar on the dockable window and click Transparency.

Sorry ReMark threw me off.

OPTIONS>DRAFTING>DRAFTING TOOLTIP SETTINGS(Button near bottom right) and adjust transparency.
