shift1313
not that i know of. only 32bit and 64bit versions for windows. You will need a windows emulator to make it work. Having said that i would think the performance would be horrible running a graphical intense program on an emulator. The linux environment is great for a lot of things but i dont think graphical design software is one of those.

clydemit
Solidworks was made to run on windows. Autocad products can work with WINE emulator and some can be installed without.

f700es
Solidworks was made to run on windows. Autocad products can work with WINE emulator and some can be installed without. Current WINE db has AutoCAD versions 2009 thru 2012 with a garbage rating. Link Older versions seem to work well though. I honestly don't have a problem with Linux, there are several versions that are pretty cool but I fail to see the issue with just using the OS that an application was designed to be used in. Inventor also gets a garbage rating as well Link
CALCAD
Bricscad has a Linux version. It's more of an Autocad clone. Nothing like Solidworks. Not open source.
f700es
That FreeCAD looks promising as an Inventor alternative. I haven't used it but it does look usable. Link

skan
I know I meant that they offer versions that can run on Unix and Unix-like systems, such as FreeBSD, Linux, Solaris...
