Can one draw in feet and inches

I have drawn small objects in inches (decimal) for years. Recently I needed to draw a builing. I did it in inches and dimensioned in feet and inches. Is there a way to draw in feet and inched????

Change your UNITS to architectural.

You can also draw a line using direct distance measuring. At the command line type:

 

@21'6-1/2"

 

Don't forget the "@" symbol or the and symbols and remember AutoCAD expects to see the "dash" between the whole number for the inches and any fraction of an inch and NOT between the number for feet and inches.

 

Now you're good to go.
