Plotting wipeouts in pdf

Recommended Posts

devonhead

I like using wipeouts in adding text over busy sections of plant layouts. When they are printed as an pdf on an A3 they usually print fine. If the pdf is printed as an A1 or AO then the wipeouts have like a solid hatch pattern over them. I would like to continue using wipeouts to add text over details on a drawing if possible. Has anybody else experienced this problem and have they found a solution?

Seems that the solution is to use the AutoCAD built-in virtual PDF printer.

Thanks for the advise. I have used the AutoCAD PDF printer previously but had other issues with it. I will try again.

Thanks again

Wipeouts are a real pain for this reason alone and in my opinion should not be used at all.

I had some issues in the past but a good trick is to change the color of the wipeout by using "255". Works for me in the past.
