jackcad
i'm using Autocad 2012 (upgrading from 2009) . when i import an igs-file i always get a surface model ( the same item as a step gives no problem) exporting to igs gives me a message (in a dos-window) about tolerances . is there something to do about tolerancing for working with solids ? JD Mather
IGES can be saved as either Surface Body or Solid Body. You need to check with the source to see what Option they used. You might be able to convert it to a solid body with the Sculpt command on the Surfaces tab. (_surfsculpt) Many IGES files have problems. There are some repair tools in Inventor Fusion. Use STEP rather than IGES when possible.
