Dynamic Simulation help, animating unique movement

Hi I'm new to Inventor and i'm looking to animate the movement of an iris diaphragm(see drawing+vid below). After enough poking around it seems dynamic simulation is my best bet for accomplishing the unique movement I want-- simple constraint won't get there.

 

Can anyone direct me further or otherwise?
