daveyboyd
Hi, I am getting really annoyed with UCS FOLLOW. I turn it on and it works fine but it seems to always turn itself off somehow but i dont know why (maybe its when I leave a drawing and return? not sure) is there a way of making it stay on even after the drawing has been closed/re-opened? Thanks Dave
ReMark
This might be of some interest: http://discussion.autodesk.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=596482
daveyboyd
Thanks Mark, I have tried saving it in a template but it still reverts back to being off, the other fix also refers to using it with viewports but I want to use it in model space. chulse
I think UCSFOLLOW only applies to viewports and is viewport specific...
daveyboyd
UCSFOLLOW applies when you create new UCS points in MODEL space from which you can display using a viewport. If you are creating sections through say a bridge structure you can create new UCS for each section. I have attached a drawing to explain this, use the toolbar UCS II to view different views and then try UCSFOLLOW 1, you may understand more then. Thanks UCS.dwg
chulse
...Ok, I looked it up and I was wrong... UCSFOLLOW does apply in modelspace and is retained when the dwg is saved, closed and re-opened. Worked ok for me... Could yours be set to return to 0 in your acad.lsp or some other setup file?
