Hi,

Just a general question. I'm using a post script 2 plotter I created for producing EPS files which I then convert into PDF's via Adobe programs.

Am I right in assuming it produces the highest quality line drawings? or would it be quicker and as satisfactory plotting with the default 'DWG to PDF' that comes with AutoCAD 11?

Thanks!

Generally the more process's the worst the file gets. I think you can play around with DPI in pdf's never had to though A4 blown up to A1 still good.

Thnaks for your response!!

What do you mean by the more process' the worse the file gets?? Do you mean the more modifications you make to files, importing and exporting them in different formats before presentation the worse the quality of the lines in the drawing gets??

Also surely blowing up and A4 and printing at A1 is the wrong way to go about quality printing. I was told you should always start from the largest scale possible so that if you have to re-format your work in the future you can just simply scale drawings to fit smaller pages without affecting the lineweights. Wouldn't blowing something up to A1 from A4 mean it would come out pixalated?
